SetBook is a private journal for your business. This page explains, in plain language, what we store, why we store it, and how to get it back or delete it.

Who we are

SetBook is an independent software tool run by a single developer. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the operator of SetBook is the controller of the account information described below. The appointment and client records you enter are yours — we hold them on your behalf and use them for nothing else.

What we store

Your account: an email address and a securely hashed password. Your business settings, such as currency and specialty. Appointment records: date, service, price, duration, materials and tip. Client records: whatever name, contact details and notes you choose to enter. Expenses and service prices. If you unlock the optional features, the appointment photos you upload. One cookie recording whether you prefer the light or dark theme.

What we never collect

No payment details and no card numbers — SetBook has no payment processing at all, and supporting it happens entirely on Ko-fi, where we never see your card. No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels. Your data is never sold, rented or shared for marketing.

Where your data is held

Data is stored in a Supabase database and the site is served by Vercel. Every table is protected by row-level security, which means the database itself refuses to return one account’s rows to another account. That restriction does not depend on the application remembering to ask.

Cookies

There are two. One keeps you signed in, and the app cannot work without it. The other remembers your light or dark theme choice. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how it is processed. You can export everything yourself at any time from Settings, without asking anyone. For anything else, write to the address below and you will get a reply.

Keeping and deleting

Your data stays for as long as your account exists. Delete your account from Settings and the records go with it. Backups are rotated on a rolling cycle, so a deleted record may survive briefly in a backup before it ages out.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and the app will say so. Questions, data requests and complaints: hello@mysetbook.com.
